Over this past weekend, I had a chance to connect with some fantastic people at the PMIGlobalSummit (too many to tag here), but one of the greatest benefits was the chance to spend time with Edson and Lee Goldstein from PM4NGOs (the Executive Director and current Vice-Chair respectively), and catch up on their amazing growth and continued success.

I had the great fortune to serve on the PM4NGOs Board for a number of years, and it was one of the most rewarding and impactful experiences of my career. While no longer serving, I still feel a deep sense of pride in their success and watching the new generation of leaders continue to deliver on the vision.

The work they do in providing guidance around project management for global humanitarian and development projects can’t be overstated, and is evidenced by the list of iNGOs they count as partners or are using their materials – Mercy Corps, Plan International, Save the Children, Catholic Relief Services, ChildFund, OxFam, World Vision, and many more.

The real value of this work becomes evident when you realize PM4NGOs doesn’t do outreach or marketing. These organizations aren’t being asked to partner or use the material; they are asking to partner or are reaching out to PM4NGOs for their material. In a world full of ‘silver bullet’ claims, consultants, and snake oil salesmen, there’s no greater indicator of ‘value’ than someone ‘seeking you out’.

Thank you, Edson and Lee, for the great time, the updates, and for continuing the work. I continue to be a fan and supporter, and couldn’t be happier or more proud of where you’re taking PM4NGOs.
