Obidah Al Sayed Ali is a seasoned specialist consultant in institutional development, organizational troubleshooting, and good governance, with over 10 years of experience supporting international and local institutions across Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Turkey. He has delivered more than 5,000 hours of high-impact training and facilitation.

He holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Mersin University and an Executive Doctorate in Business Administration (EDBA) from the European Global School – Paris. His academic qualifications also include a Diploma in Hospital Management from the Canada Global Centre, a Diploma in Advanced Proposal Writing, and a Diploma in Health Governance—both from İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim University.

Since 2011, Obidah has worked extensively on civil society engagement, post-conflict governance, conflict resolution, and organizational reform. He is a recognized trainer and facilitator in technical disciplines such as Theory of Change (TOC), Project and Program Management (Project DPro & Program DPro), Social Network Analysis (SNA), and Curriculum Development. In parallel, he delivers training on soft skills in conflict contexts.

Obidah has held senior leadership positions including Regional Director, Operations Director, and Programs Advisor, where he led multi-sectoral initiatives across conflict zones, ensured donor compliance, and advanced institutional effectiveness. Notably, he served as CEO of one of Syria’s largest hospitals, managing a team of over 400 during an active conflict period.

He currently serves as the Syria Champion for PM4NGOs, supporting professionals and organizations across Syria, Turkey, and the broader MENA region.
