Consultancy Description

PM4NGOs is seeking an experienced consultant to develop a comprehensive slide deck for the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning for Development Professionals Guide (MEAL DPro Guide). The MEAL DPro Guide serves as a pivotal resource in establishing certification-based, sector-wide standards for professionals within the development and humanitarian sectors.

The ideal consultant will possess a deep understanding of the MEAL DPro processes and principles and have extensive experience in creating engaging training materials for professional development.

 

Description of tasks (Responsibilities)

The consultant will coordinate his/her activities with the Executive Director, which includes:

1. Content Review and Planning:
• Conduct a thorough review of the MEAL DPro Guide to fully understand the content and its applications in the field.
• Collaborate with PM4NGOs staff and subject matter experts to identify key content areas that need emphasis in the training slide deck.

2. Slide Deck Development:
• Develop a slide deck that translates the MEAL DPro Guide into an easily understandable format suitable for training purposes.
• Ensure that the slide deck includes visual aids, such as charts, graphs, and images, to enhance learning and engagement.
• Incorporate interactive elements such as quizzes and discussion prompts to facilitate active learning and application of knowledge.
• Incorporate trainer notes and instructions to each slide, when applicable, detailing key points, recommended discussions, and possible activities.

3. Feedback Incorporation :
• Present the draft slide deck to PM4NGOs staff and help selecting external experts for feedback.
• Provide support to PM4NGOs team to refine the slide deck based on the feedback received to ensure it meets the learning objectives and quality standards of PM4NGOs.

4. Final Presentation and Handover:
• Provide a comprehensive handover that includes all materials, source files, and additional resources used in the slide deck development.

Deliverables

1. Slide Deck:
• A fully designed slide deck for the MEAL DPro Guide, suitable for face-to-face training.

2. Trainer Notes and Instructions:
• Detailed notes and instructional guidelines for trainers using the slide deck..

Desired Qualifications

• Proven experience in instructional design and training material development, particularly in the humanitarian or development sectors.

• Strong understanding of MEAL DPro concepts and their application in real-world settings.

• Good graphical and visual design skills, with proficiency in slide deck software such as Microsoft PowerPoint or similar.

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and incorporate feedback constructively.

• Fluent in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Mandatory requirements

The following are mandatory requirements to provide the service:

• The consultant must hold MEAL DPro certification.

• The consultant must have proven experience in delivering fate-to-face or online MEAL DPro training.

Confidentiality, Data Protection, and Ethical Provisions

Taking into consideration that the consultant will access and analyze sensitive data from PM4NGOs, the consultant will be required to:

• Sign a nondisclosure agreement provided by PM4NGOs.

• Comply and sign the PM4NGOs Ethical Policy.
