Are you interested in joining a global network of volunteers dedicated to promoting PM4NGOs?

PM4NGOs Hubs are DPro subject matter experts (volunteers) who represent PM4NGOs in specific country or region, providing support to organizations, learners, and practitioners around the world. A PM4NGOs Hub contributes to the development of professional standards that shape the future of the profession by sharing the experience and feedback from local organizations, professionals, universities, and students, helping professionals and students build experience and grow their careers through the development of local activities / events, and leading the production of contextualized materials.

Volunteer Activities

 

  • To provide a local presence in specific geographic areas to promote PM4NGOs methodologies, guides, and  brand.
  • To engage the community of practitioners on a local level, using culturally and contextually appropriate methods and tools.
  • To develop mechanisms for collecting data, information, and feedback from practitioners that can be used to help PM4NGOs taking decisions to better support practitioners and organizations.
  • To strength networking between local and global project managers, sharing project experiences.
  • To support project managers in their certification efforts: recommending learning pathways, exam purchase process guidance, exam invigilation process.
  • To promote the development of local training organizations and advise PM4NGOs on the official training partners assessment and establishment.

Requirements

  • Resident at the designated region, fluent at the local language(s) and good working knowledge of English.
  • Being Project DPro or other DPro certified.
  • A minimum of 3 years working in the development / humanitarian sector is desirable.
  • An established professional network among the development and/or humanitarian sectors.
  • Minimum of 4 hours/month to dedicate to volunteer activities as the PM4NGOs Representative.
  • Commitment to the values and principles of volunteerism and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Willingness to work with people and local organizations to draw upon the synergies between expert solutions and local knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Benefits

The PM4NGOs representative (Hub) will engage with local and international organizations on behalf of PM4NGOs, which will help on his/her professional and personal development and networking. In addition, the PM4NGOs representative will be entitled for:

  • Network with PM4NGOs Hubs, Training Partners, and Nonprofit Partners worldwide. 
  • Direct support from PM4NGOs team in any aspect related to PM4NGOs learning, exams, processes, and best practices.
  • Being mentored by either a PM4NGOs staff or Board Member not only on the Hub activities but also personal / professional ones.
  • A profile at the PM4NGOs webpage and social media.
  • An e-mail at the PM4NGOs domain (@pm4ngos.org).
  • Expenses reimbursement when the activity is approved (prior to its implementation).
  • Early access to guides and tools developed by PM4NGOs.

Please note that this is a volunteer position and there is no salary or other financial compensation.

  • Check if there is a Hub in your country: if your country already has a PM4NGOs Hub, contact him/her to discuss how you could support and help the ongoing development of DPros in your country.
  • Check the requirements: due to the large volume of communications we receive, we will not be able to answer messages from candidates who do not attend all requirements.
