Olha brings extensive experience in civil society capacity development, education, organizational strengthening, and project management. Her work reflects a strong commitment to supporting local organizations, strengthening institutional resilience, and advancing professional standards across the development and humanitarian sectors.

As a PM4NGOs Champion, Olha will contribute to strengthening the DPro Community in Ukraine, promoting internationally recognized project management methodologies, and supporting professionals and organizations working to create sustainable local impact.

Olha Kornieva

Dr. Olha Kornieva is a distinguished expert in the capacity development of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) with 10 years of experience in organizational growth, and a professional with over 20 years of experience in teaching. Based in Ukraine, she has built an extensive career focused on the professionalization of the civil society sector and the strategic revitalization of territorial communities.

Olha currently serves as the Partnership Capacity Development Coordinator at Mercy Corps, where she leads initiatives to strengthen the institutional resilience of local NGOs. Over the past four years, she has extensively worked with more than 30 CSOs, significantly enhancing their organisational potential. Her expertise is further demonstrated through the development and implementation of her own specialized methodologies for CSO capacity development.

A significant part of her field experience includes dedicated support for vulnerable groups; she has actively facilitated project management and fundraising training for Roma youth activists and Roma-led CSOs, helping to amplify their impact within the humanitarian and development sectors.

With a Ph.D. in Public Administration, Olha has spent two decades in education, including 14 years at the university level and extensive work in non-formal education. She has authored over 20 study programs for national deputies and local councilors, bridging the gap between theoretical governance and practical community leadership.

As a certified Project DPro professional, Olha is a passionate advocate for international project management standards. She actively contributes to Ukraine’s recovery by developing strategic plans for territorial communities and facilitating workshops that empower activists to transform ideas into impactful local projects. Her unique blend of academic rigor, authorial methodologies, and field-tested expertise makes her a driving force in building a sustainable and professionalized future for Ukraine’s civil society.
